Eco-environmental Water Use Calculation of Soil and Water Conservation in the Loess Plateau Region
Soil erosion in the Loess Plateau is the major ecological problems, and returning farmland to forests, grasslands, water and soil conservation measures are the inevitable choice to improve the ecological environment, but in arid and semi-arid Loess Plateau region, the scarcity of water resources is the fundamental factor impact on the ecological environment. Therefore, the ecological environmental water consumption of soil and water conservation for the study of the ecological environment is extremely important. In this paper, based on sustainable socio-economic development of the Loess Plateau area, in order to achieve the healthy development of ecological environment, made the definition discussion of the ecological environment water requirement of water and soil conservation, and firstly raised the ecological environment water consumption calculation framework of Water and Soil Conservation in the Loess Plateau. According to soil and water conservation measures (terraced fields, woodland, grassland) reduce water, make an analysis of indicators of soil and water reduction, the ecological environment water consumption calculation method more feasible of soil and water conservation in the Loess Plateau region. Taking Jiuyuangou basin as example, the average yearly ecological water requirement for soil conservation measures in 1965~2005 is estimated. The research enriched the theory of the ecological environment of water, for the Loess Plateau region of the ecological environment and the rational use of water resources to provide a scientific basis for decision-making.
