Living Harmoniously with Rivers is the Only Way for Human Beings to Ezploit and Utilize Rivers--Written from the Law about the Historical Evolution of the Relationship between Mankind and the River
Rivers and human beings are closely related, for human civilization was bred and developed by rivers. In the long history of human development process, since the levels of economic and social development are different, people s understanding for rivers is different, and mankind has also taken a different approach to handle with the relationship of river. At original period, the lives of human beings depend on rivers, and they worship rivers; At farming period, human beings preliminarily exploit and utilize rivers,people use rivers with the attitude in awe ;At industrial period,human excessively exploit rivers, and override rivers. Mankind have benefited from the river and also hurt the rivers, and conclusions can be drawn from the law of the historical evolution of the relationship between mankind and rivers, the current concept of harmony between people and rivers is not only the inevitable result of unceasing development of economy and society, but also an inevitable requirement of advanced development of economy and society. The harmony is different from the initial state, and it is sublimation on thought after the consequences of ecological damage caused by over-exploitation of rivers, and it is also human beings initiatively want to live harmoniously with rivers at a higher level.
