Study on 2D Flow and Sediment Numerical Model under the Influence of Building Bridges in Fluid Mud Area
It is very difficult to simulate sediment transport near the bed by numerical models because of the sediment exchange between bed load and suspended load. The sediment boundary near the bed will be more complicated if there is fluid mud on the bed. For this case, an efficient model must properly deal with sediment carrying capacity, incipient velocity, and settling velocity, etc. For the realization of the fluid mud area of the numerical simulation of sediment, for Jiaojiang estuary sediment properties, it is based on LUO Zhao-sen formulas to select sediment parameters, set up 2D sediment mathematical model. Using measured data from the tide process, the flow velocity and sediment concentration in terms of mathematical model is validated calculation. The model has been applied to the Jiaojiang estuary and can reasonably simulate the tidal current, suspended sediment concentration distribution and channel bed variation. Take the Jiaojiang River Second-Bridge project for example, through the uses of model simulation of different hydrological conditions, the constructions of a bridge caused by the flow field, sediment concentration is studied and the project caused by changes in sedimentation is analyzed. Studies have shown that the bridge construction on the project flow and sediment limited the impact of environmental change.
