Elementary Study on Channel Morphology in Sanmenzia Reservoir

摘要：

Sanmenxia reservoir has been operated for storing the relative clear water in non-flood season and disposing the muddy during floods since 1974. The main channel adjusts itself toward the direction of equilibrium during flushing period in reservoir. This paper computes the channel-forming discharge based on the concept of geomorphic work, analyzes the relationship between the channel width and channel-forming discharge, and presents the change of longitudinal profile.
