The research on water and sediment variation in Yellow River is the significant issue of the Yellow River s development and management. Through a summary of the previous research on water and sediment variation in the Yellow River, the paper systemically introduces the current research content, main conclusion and analysis methods on Yellow River s water and sediment variation and discusses the existing problems. Combining with the author s current research achievements, the paper introduces the new development and new ideas on the research on the Yellow River s water and sediment variation.
