General Design of Ditch, Channel, Plain, Reservoir System Project in the Yellow River Lower Reaches

According to the water and sediment characteristics of clear water in non-flood time and turbid water in flood time in the Yellow River, after the operation of Store the Clear and Release the Turbid principle of the Xiaolangdi reservoir, the author primarily designed and proposed the Yellow River lower reach Ditch, Channel, Plain, Reservoir system project plan. This plan not only fits the water and sediment characteristics of the Yellow River but also can reasonably exploit and use hydro-power resources, navigation resources, water resources, sediment resources, wet land resources, and tour resources. This plan can also relieve the abnormal flood threats to the lower reach flood plains and the Huanghuaihai plain under the condition of abundant of Dagong and Beijindi flood detentions, not using or seldom using Dongpinghu detention.
