Ezploration and Prospect on Sediment Resources Development and Utilization of the Yellow River in Henan Reach
The Yellow River is sediment-laden river which is infrequent in the world. It is well-known for high sediment laden. The integrated training measures of blocking, letting-out, giving-out, regulating and digging-up have been taken and gained obvious effects. But sediment problem has not been solved at all. The article summers the exploring measures of sediment resources development and utilization of the Yellow River in Henan Reach. The prospect and potential of sediment development and utilization are analyzed and prospected in strengthening embankment, secondary suspended-river training, floodplain construction, altering low-lying alkaline soil at the back of the embankment, stocking materials for rushing to deal with emergency, constructing, etc. The property as natural resources of so-called harmful sediment is nailed down.
