Research on the Variation Characteristics of Runoff in the Middle and Lower Yellow River during the Last 50 Years
Taking the 54 years (1950~2003) monthly runoff series measured in both Huayuankou and Lijin hydrologic stations as the basic series data, and both wavelet analysis (WA) method and time-series analysis methods are used, the variation characteristics of runoff in the middle and lower Yellow River during the last 50 years have been analyzed and described comprehensively from four points as; variations under different time-scales, inner-annual variation, inter-annual variation and spatial variation. Then the influence of human activities on variation characteristics of runoff have also been studied and discussed. Analyses results show that human activities have great influence on the variation characteristics of runoff in the last 50 years, which make the characteristics of runoff have been changed greatly after 1970, make the runoff reducing along with year, and change the inner-annual distribution of runoff.
