Discussion of the Application of Methane Tanks in the Eco-San System in Rural Areas
The eco-san system collects and processes contaminations according to their types, and then recycles them. The eco-san system can destroy pathogens in excretes from human and livestock; meanwhile, it can use nutrimental substances in the excreta as manure. This usage is durative and can avoid environmental pollution caused by the excreta from human and livestock. This paper designs and studies the trinity construction of the lavatory, corral, and methane tank in rural areas in Shijiazhuang City of China, and builds methane-tanksanitation-lavatories. The application reveals that methane-tank-sanitation-lavatories in which lavatories, swine corrals and methane fermenting tank are built together can achieve the goal of making the processing of excreta harmless, and effectively improve environmental sanitation in the countryside; on the other hand, it can utilize methane energy resources, and has high comprehensive benefits.
