Ezperimental study on modification of industrial residue titanium gypsum

Titanium gypsum is a kind of industrial residues, and its impurity content is high and mechanical property is poor. Physical modification methods were used by processes, such as breaking, milling, calcining and ageing. The connection between calcining heat and mechanical properties of titanium gypsum was investigated. Chemical modification methods were used with additives added, such as Glaubers salt, calces and Portland cement. The optimum mix of dosage of additives was obtained. The mechanism of physical modification and chemical modification was discussed.
