The economic evaluation of a source-separated domestic wastewater system in residential buildings

Based on the implementation of demonstration project of a source-separated domestic wastewater system for residential buildings in inner Mongolia of China, the economic evaluation was done to investigate the economic feasibility. Meanwhile the comparison in the cost and benefit with conventional sanitation systeM was analyzed. With cost-benefit analysis (CBA), the results showed that the economic net present value (ENPV) of the source-separated system with the discount rate equal to or less than 8% was more than one of conventional sanitation system, the sourceseparated project was feasible or accepted economically.
