Nutrient removal of static lake water by constructed biological Filter
Biological filter is currently evolving into an ecological, efficiently alternative method for many lake water remediation. Conventional filter systeM such as constructed wetland was not successful at nitrification. In this study, zeolite and coal cinder were chosen as main substrates to construct microecological filter to remedy static lake water. Dominant bacteria colony was screened out and domesticated to intensify remedying process. It was shown that, removal efficiency of NH4+-N, TN, and TP by and dominant colony increased with retention time. Removal efficiency of TN by dominant consortiuM system was the highest. Abundant nitrous and nitride bacteria in dominant colony made nitrification swift and thorough, cut accumulation of inter-product and hastened nitrogen removal. Dominant bacteria colony kept high activity for a long time, which intensified removal of nitrogenous contamination. Cooperation of multi-colony enhanced P removal.
