Current Situation of Paper Industry Pollution and Controlling Measures in Haihe Basin
The paper industry of Haihe basin is an important paper making industry base in North China. As the pillar of the local economy, the paper industry is also the major industrial pollution sources. In 2007, the emissions of waste water and COD account for 30.9% and 40.3% of the basins total emissions. Based on the environment statistics of 2007, the character of the structural pollution of the paper industry is analyzed, as well as major problems existing in production scale, material structure, production process and cleaner production. In this paper, two schemes to reduce the area pollutions are suggested, and pollution control measures are put forward. In the first scheme, the contribution rate of COD in the majority of the basin area will decrease to 20%-30%. In the second one which under the assumption that the small scale company which cannot reach the emission standard will be all closed, the reduction rates of COD will reach 28.4%, and the contribution rate will down to 28.8%. In the end, the countermeasures to control paper industry pollution are proposed.
