Research of Water Quality and Pollution Sources of Tianjin Offshore Area
The water quality of Tianjin offshore area is dominated with the worse than Grade IV of oceanic water quality standard, and 71.4% of the area is at the state of eutrophication. The total inflow to the sea from the land is 1.235 billion m3. The load of COD and NH3-N is respectively up to 174,300 tons and 28,100 tons, among of them, over 90% is from rivers. Therefore, to reduce the amount of pollutants from inland rivers into the ocean is the basic approach to improve the coastal environment.
