Application of KM Management System for Integrated Water Resources and Environment Management in Zhangweinan Canal Sub-basin
Zhangweinan(ZWN) sub-basin knowledge management(KM)system is an information system of integrated water resources and environment management (IWEM), providing support for assistant decision-making. It is also an important technical tool to achieve the goal of IWEM. ZWN-KM system will play a significant role in information sharing, total pollutant control, water quality early-warning and combined management of water quality and quantity as the system will be applied in sub-basin water management. This paper presents the functions and benefits that the systeM has achieved in water resources management in ZWn sub-basin and puts forward some proposals and views for the sustainable use and the application foreground that the system will realize in the future, with an expectation to achieve sustainable development of sub-basin water resources and environment.
