Application of KM System for Integrated Water Resources and Environment Management in Tianjin
Tianjin Knowledge Management system (TJ-KM system) is an important component of Tianjin Integrated Water and Environment of Management Plan (IWEMP) of GEF-Hai Basin Integrated Water and Environment Management Project (GEF-H-Project). By excavating the characteristics of water resources and water environment information deeply, the systeM established an inter-departmental, cross-sectoral information sharing mechanism, to realize exchange and sharing of integrated water and environment information at the provincial-level for the first time in China. The TJ-KM system integrated the tianjin integrated simulating platform of water quantity and quality (ISPWQQ) to provide an analysis and forecasting tool for business management, to provide supplementary support for macroeconomic policy-making. It promotes implementation of Tianjin IWEMP effectively, and provides a successful experience for the application of KM system in integrated water and environment management at the provincial-level.
