Swelling behaviors of Yangquan coal induced by adsorption of CH4 and CO2
CO2 sequestration in un-minable coal seams and enhanced coal bed methane recovery (CO2-ECBM) has been considered as one of the most promising methods to reduce CO2 emission. Injection of CO2 in coal seams can result in adsorption of gas on coals or interaction of gas and coals, which leads to the swelling of coal. This work focuses on the swelling behaviors of block Yangquan coal during the process of CH4 and CO2 adsorption.
