Geologic control on CBM content in a certain developing block of southern Qinshui basin
In order to determine the distribution of gas content accurately in No. 3 seam of the coal in the south of Qinshui basin, geologic structure, hydrogeological conditions, sealing condition, burial depth,overlying formation thickness, seam thickness, coal metamorphic degree, gas staturation and methane concentration were analyzed. The result proves that geologic structure, burial depth, overlying formation thickness, gas stauration and methane concentration are considered to the main control action factors to gas content. The isoline map has been worked out according to the changes of the CBM content gradient influenced by related factors, which has a certain significance to the well pattern optimization design and developing of CBM.
