Characteristics and controlling factors of the coal reservoir pressure of Panguan Syncline in western Guizhou Province
Study on the coal reservoir pressure is important to exploration and development of CBM. Panguan Syncline has better conditions to CBM Enrichment, in which the coal reservoir pressure is normal-supernormal on the whole, but there exists difference in pressure systeM between the east wing and the west wing. This paper carries on the comprehensive research of the origin of relatively high pressure from three aspects: gas generating conditions, preservation conditions of pressure and tectonic stress and deeply discusse the controlling factors of coal reservoir pressure differential development. The results showed that the abundant substance base of hydrocarbon generation, relatively high thermal evolution degree and good preservation condition were the cause of high pressure of coal reservoir, meanwhile, the difference of coal seam thickness, vitrinite content, thermal evolution degree and tectonic stress resulted in the coal reservoir pressure difference of two wings.
