Research and application on testing technology of orientation by potentiometry method for coalbed fracturing
An applied geophysics method is introduced in this paper and this is a new testing technology of orientation and length by testing potentiometry of coalbed fracturing. For attaining the scientific research, substantial field experiment and the theory study was carried out based on a large number of physical model and indoor experiments against the inherent characteristics of coalbed seams. The measurement technology was assessed in application that it had high accuracy and not any break to production compared with other measurement methods. After showed the fundamental principles of testing,measuring instruments and measuring methods, the testing data of well WuShi 5-3 and well WuShi 5-5 in Ningwu basin of Shanxi province was focusly analysised and the result indicated the testing technology of orientation by potentiometry method was entirely feasible and had more significance for coalbed fracturing
