Study on the calculation of calorific value of coalbed gas in Jincheng region in Shanzi province

Calorific value is one of the important gas quality indicators. In this article, the calorific value of coalbed gas in Jincheng region of China is calculated by referring to the calculation method for natural gas calorific value, combining with data of laboratory actual measured coalbed gas component, using each component compressibility factor, summation factor and mol calorific value. The result shows that: The low calorific value of the coalbed gas in Jincheng region, Shanxi province, China is between 30.30 MJ/m3 and 33. 26 MJ/m3, and the high calorific value is between 33. 64 MJ/m3 and 36. 92 MJ/m3. The high calorific value is greater than nature gas pipeline transmission indicator of 31.4 MJ/m3 specified in the GB17820, which meets the pipeline. transmission quality standard requirements. Therefore, it is considered that the coalbed gas from Jincheng region can go directly into the West to East Gas Transmission Project natural gas pipeline in view of calorific value.
