ICT2009: Beijing City Comprehensive Information Service in Post-Olympic Times
1.Beijings Policy on ICT According to the economic and social informatization development planning of Beijing city for the year 2006 to 2010, a service-oriented government shall be built with the development of a modern comprehensive information platform for enterprises and residents, which needs the integration of information resources and the reorganization of the workflow of government affairs. Under the guidance of this policy, the informatization construction and comprehensive information service capability of Beijing city has been ranking the top over other cities in China in urban informatization evaluation. During the Olympic Games, Beijing provided the visitors from all over the world with multilingual comprehensive information service after integrating the Olympic information and city information. With the rapid development of the mobile communication in China, 3G mobile communication technology will be adopted for Beijing e-Government and comprehensive information service, which all aim to provide services primarily for enterprises and residents.
