Segmentation Using Finite Mizture Partial Least Squares: loyalty and satisfaction perceived by customers of the supermarkets in Portugal
This paper seeks to understand the relationship among perceived quality, satisfaction, trust, symbolic image and how they impact loyalty in Portuguese supermarket service. The model estimation includes structural equation analysis, using PLS approach and applying the finite mixture partial least squares (FIMK-PLS) to segment the sample. The research findings showed that region is the main difference that characterizes the two uncovered customer segments. Customers from first segment live mainly in Lisbon and other urban cities in coast. The second segment has customers who live mainly in inland (interior North of Portugal).
