Determinants of Timber Consumption in U.S and China Based on a Multi-Block PLS Method

摘要：

The factors affecting timber consumption in China and US were modeled by previously proposed modified multi-block PLS method. Rather than merging all these data in both countries into a single block of independent variables, three data blocks were used separately and variable selected from each block before PLS was implemented. The result showed the different consumption patterns in both countries and implies different strategies for forest management.
