Combine Feature Eztraction of Palmprint and Face Images Based on PLS

摘要：

It is an effective approach for image recognition by combining different features of a pattern. Partial least squares (PLS) method and its improved algorithms are discussed, as well as feature combine methods and their application. By optimizing and combining different features, it not only, keeps the effective discriminant information of multi-feature, but also eliminates the redundant information. The experiment results on AR face database and PolyU Palmprint Database have shown that the combined feature can achieve good performance in image recognition.
