The Design and Simulation of an Escalator Virtual Prototyping

This paper offers a modern design technique for midheight escalator. The content of this project is to exercise the application of virtual model design, digital design technique, finite element analysis, motion simulation technique in the process of actual engineering products design and exploitation by design a 15m/height escalator, which serves for public transportation. Digital prototyping technique can present the virtual models to the designer and then take all kinds of analyses and evaluations and finally accomplish the target of virtual design.
