Method Based on Rule Reasoning and Neural Network Reasoning for Fault Diagnosis of Fiber Optic Gyros

As the key part of the small satellites measurement system, once it gets fault, the whole satellite may fail. Hence we need to diagnose faults for the fiber optic gyros when the small satellite runs on the orbit. According to the characteristics of fiber optic gyros, this study describes an expert systeM which based on the combination of rules reasoning and neural network reasoning. To detective fault quickly and exactly, the expert system uses different ways according to different fault types. After simulation test, the expert system is proved to be effective.
