Mechanics Analysis and Structure Optimization for Steering Linkage Mechanism of Shipyard Transporter with Help of Matlab Software
Planar linage mechanics model was provided for describing the principle of the steering mechanism of the shipyard transporter. Both linear and rotational velocity is so low that statics model was established to simulate the mechanism, with the help of Matlab software, m-files for calculating force of arm, force at three hinged ports, pushing/pulling force of the link-age, angular displacement of the steering mechanism and equivalent driving force of arm are programmed step by step. With these m-files, different performance curves can be easily achieved through varying some of the ten parameters, and then optimized set of parameters were got.
