Nonlinear Analysis of Force, Rigidity and Damping Performances of Double Wishbone Independent Suspension with Coil Spring
In order to analyze the performances of double wishbone independent suspension with coil spring exactly and improve efficiency of analyzing and designing suspension, based on the principle of virtual work, the nonlinear function relations between the coil spring rigidity and the suspension rigidity, the shock absorber damping and the suspension damping, were derived strictly. Then useful software for calculating the design parameters of the coil spring and shock absorber was developed, and was successfully applied to the designing of the suspensions of a mini electric vehicle. The result was verified with ADAMS and the method was proved to be efficient and accurate.
