Research of a Metal Belt CVTs Target Clamping Force

Based on the experimental equations and mathematic model, the target pulleys clamping force is calculated. The three dimension model of clamping force is plotted. Meanwhile, based on the theory of hydrostatics and hydrokinetics, a mathematic model of a single pressure hydraulic system in the continuously variable transmission is set up. Starting with the model of the hydraulic components such as the pump, clamping force control valve, ratio control valve and the cylinder, consequently the system model can be yielded. The simulation results of target clamping force are shown.
