Brake Squeal Simulation Based on Complez Eigenvalue Eztraction
This paper presents numerical studies of frictioninduced instabilities of brake systems based on complex mode analysis. The complex eigenvalue extraction is performed at a deformed configuration; thus, nonlinear effects are taken into account in the modal analysis. It is found that the inclusion of nonlinear effects have a significant influence on the brake squeal predictions.
