A Sensitive Reagentless Glucose Biosensor Based on the Immobilization of Glucose Ozidase on Nafion/HAP Hybrid Film Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode and Its Direct Electrochemistry
In recent years, direct electrochemistry of redox proteins has attracted considerable attention due to its significance in fundamental study of electron transfer, construction of third generation biosensors and biofuel cells 1. However, the direct electron communication between the redox center of the immobilized enzymes and the electrode surface is often shielded by the insulating outer protein shell. Therefore, one of the main challenges in this area is to select a host matrix which can both provide a suitable microenvironment for proteins and also enhance the direct electron transfer between the proteins and underlying electrodes 2.
