Electrochemiluminescence Behavior of Electrodeposited CdO Nanostructure with DNA as the Template

During the past several years, electrochemiluminescence (ECL), the emission produced from electrochemically generated species, has received great attention as an important and valuable detection method in analytical chemistry due to its versatility, simple optical setup, as well as good temporal and spatial control 1. A large number of compounds such as luminol and metal complexes are able to produce ECL. Recently, much interest has been paid to the ECL of semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs), especially the II-VI semiconductor NCs, because of their size and shape tunable optical and electrical properties since it was firstly discovered and reported by Bard and co-workers 2.
