A Novel Nanotube/Nano-Fe3O4/2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazqle Composited Au Electrode Detecting Catechol
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with many unique properties such as high electrocatalytic effect, fast electron transfer and the ability to promote electron-transfer reactions involving enzymes have raised great expectations in different applications 1-4. Recently, magnetic nanoparticles have been widely investigated and applied in electrocatalysis 5, 6 etc. In this work, MWCNTs nano-Fe3O4/2-amino-5-mercapto-l,3,4-thiadiazole composites have also been prepared to immobilize on Au electrode for sensing catechol. It has been demonstrated that magnetic nano-Fe3O4 MWCNTs composites displayed excellent electrocatalytic ability in the reduction and oxidation of catechol. The attractive analytical performances of the magnetic nanocomposites modified electrodes, along with the characterization of the nanocomposites modified electrodes, are studied in this work. The modified electrode exhibits the good characteristics for the catechol determination, such as sensitivity, low detection limit, wide linear range, good stability etc.
