A Parallel Implementation of the Hybrid Algorithm for Electromagnetic Scattering by Arbitrary Shaped Cavities

The Cascading Segmentation Algorithm combined with IPO, FMM and Generalized Reciprocit Integral (GRI)can effectively solve the problem of electromagnetic scattering by arbitrary shaped cavities. A parallel algorithm based on the Hybrid algorithm is presented in this paper in an attempt to solve this probleM when the scale is very large. Using different decomposition strategy for different steps and suitable approach in data preprocessing, computing tasks are distributed into each computing processor evenly, which can ensure the parallel implementation has better parallel efficiency and better memory scalability. Experimental results show good performance of this parallel algorithm with a parallel efficiency of nearly 90%.
