NOVEL LI C/A AND L2C COMBINED SCHEMES FOR GPS ACQUISITION
This paper researches on four different detection schemes utilizing combined GPS legacy L1 C/A and new L2C signals in the acquisition process based on FFt method. The new L2C signals structure and the relation between L1 C/A and L2C are introduced firstly. Each of the four detection schemes base on the frequency and code delays relations of the two signals while keeping the coherent integration time as low as possible. FFT acquisition method replacing the traditional serial search acquisition method is used to the find the Doppler frequency and code delays. Because of different length of L1 C/A code and L2C code, the FFT method needs modification to adaptive it. Simulation is done to evaluate the performance of each detection scheme as well as the common non-coherent L1 C/A acquisition only.
