Midwavelength infrared zoom system design
A infrared hybrid refractive/diffractive optical system for midwavelength band with a single moving element is designed. This system is only composed of six elements with two are diffractive elements. Its zoom ratio is 8, and the corresponding field of view is 0.4°×1.2° to 3.0o×9°. The working waveband is from 3.7 urn to 4.8 μm, and its total length is not more than 350 mm. It achieves diffraction-limited imaging at the mid-wavelength infrared waveband.
