Proposal for Highly Nonlinear Defect Core Photonic Crystal Fiber with Ultra-Flattened Chromatic Dispersion and Low Confinement Loss
This research proposes a simple index-guiding highly nonlinear square photonic crystal fibers (HN-SPCFs) having simultaneously ultra-flattened chromatic dispersion 0 ± 0.6 ps/(nm.km) in a wavelength range of 1.36 to 1.7 μm, the confinement losses are less than 10-4 dB/m and large nonlinear coefficient more than 38 Wkm-1 at 1.55 μm, respectively based on the finite difference method.
