Status Analysis on Chinas Legal System for the Production Safety in Coal Mines
At present, the situation of coal mine safety in the worlds major coal-producing countries has been improved to varying degrees, and the death toll is continuously decreased. Compared with the advanced industrialized countries, China still has a severe situation of production safety in coal mines, which has aroused the concern of the international community. The achievements of developed countries in the coal mine safety are inseparable with their sound legal system. Although China has formulated a series of relevant laws, regulations, policies and standards about coal mine safety, the entire legal system has yet to be further improved, and the relevant standards, norms, management practices and regulations are required to be supplemented and amended in accordance with Chinas specific implementation, as well as the causes of major safety incidents occurred in coal mines in recent years and the lessons learned from them.
