Study on Ocean Pollution Damage Legislations between USA and China: From Comparative Views
It has to be faced with energy crisis for modern society and the ocean shall be the last main resource for providing huge energy for human being. Therefore, more and more countries and organizations pay more attentions on the protection of marine environment, the USA and China are not exceptional. This paper structures the main legislations of USA and China on ocean pollution protection and introduces mainly the provisions of the current American laws and regulations as well as Chinese law on ocean pollution damage through comparative views. On the basis of comments on both American law and Chinese law in the field of ocean pollution damage legislation, this paper proposes some suggestions for perfecting Chinese legislation on this particular research area.
