Optimization of Finned Heat Pipe for Heat Recovery in Air Conditioning System with Genetic Algorithm

The energy consumption about air-conditioning of buildings continues to increase and the new wind energy accounts for 4%~12% of the buildings total energy consumption. So it plays a great role on air conditioning system using heat pipe as heat recovery device. The paper analyses the heat transfer model of the uniform annular finned heat pipe under the condition of air conditioning. It establishes functions about fin structure parameter, such as height, spacing and thickness of fin when volume of fin is the smallest under unit temperature difference and unit quantity of heat. It uses genetic algorithM to optimize the model of the uniform annular finned heat pipe. The calculation result sliows that the method of genetic algorithm is effective.
