Effect of cork liner property on fabrics pilling test
Cork liner is an important material for Pilling Box Tester. In this paper, the properties of cork liner used for Pilling Box Tester were analyzed. Experimental results showed that both the surface friction coefficient and the hardness of cork liner influenced the pilling test results of knitted fabric through changing the hardness (40HA, 60HA, and 80HA) and the surface friction coefficient (0.6, 0.8, and 1.0). With the increase of the surface friction coefficient and the hardness of cork liner, the pilling number of fabric increased. In addition, the diameter deformation degree of sample tubs influenced the fabric pilling test.
