The mathematical analysis of multi-zone roller stretching for untwisted fiber sheet
In order to develop a new stretching slenderization device, a mathematical analysis of stretching process has been performed for stretching of yak hair fiber to be used as wig materials. It is found that the relationship between the total stretching ratio of fiber and fiber original and process parameters. The results show the necessary conditions for effectively stretching, that is, the fiber original length l0 should be more than the nipping distance L. In addition, the longer the fiber is, the higher the total stretching ratio of fiber is under a certain total stretching ratio of device, especially the increasing velocity of stretching ratio is more quick when L1<l0<2 L1, i. e. the stretching system of multi-zone roller can have a higher draft efficiency.
