Liquid ammonia processing of hemp fiber and its dying performance
In order to investigate the infection of liquid ammonia processing, hemp fiber after pretreatment was dip into liquid ammonia and the contrast was made. It was found that the content of lignin and pectin of hemp effect the performance of dying, especially the pectin. Its hard to dye for Hemp fiber. But the dying performance was different and ramie fiber is slightly better than that of hemp fiber. Liquid ammonia processing was favor to improve the dying performance. Different way of removing ammonia brought different effect on the dying performance of hemp fiber. Washing is better than drying to remove ammonia. With ammonia processing passing by, regain of hemp fiber raise continuously. But when the time of processing exceed 30min, the regain fall down, which was still higher than unsettled sample.
