Evaluation of mechanical properties of thermoplastic composites based on flaz/polypropylene core-spun yarns
The composite materials were manufactured with flax/Polypropylene (PP) core-spun yams by compression molding process and the mechanical properties of thermoplastic composites were investigated. Fuzzy evaluation method was undertaken to study the influence of mould thickness on the mechanical properties of the composites. The results showed that only by appropriate thickness can ensure ideal tensile properties of composites when reinforced fabric and matrix evenly carry the load altogether.
