Advantages and Obstacles for Northeast Colleges and Universities to Offer Ice and Snow Sports Courses and its Countermeasures
Northeast area in our country has the good natural conditions for developing ice and snow sports. In winter most districts have longer time of ice and snow, even some places are deep-snowed all the year round. The broad snowfields are the fertile soil to develop the skiing movement. With the rapid development of China s society and economy as well as the day-by-day enhancement of common people s living standard and also with the cultural demand increasing for sports entertainment, fitness, esp. with its unique charm, there appears a kind of exceptionally rapid developing situation in mass ice and snow in recent years. The ice and snow sports have the functions both in mass keeping fit of shaping body, edifying sentiment and in athletics. The sports both with exercise in nature and with entertainment can exactly meet the need of college students individuation. Therefore, to offer the course of ice and snow in the northeast colleges and universities has certain advantages.
