Climate Changing and Winter Sports: Threats of Environment and Economy
Snow region is very sensitive to the climate change. Climate change for winter sports has brought severe threats. In the past 100 years, the world average temperature has been increased by about 0.6-1℃ (IPCC 2001). Global wanning is inevitable, and many researches indicated that the impact of the future global warming is really huge. IPCC estimated that global temperature will raise 1.4-5. 8 ℃ by 2100.Global warming has strong impact on the northern hemisphere which is the main area of the winter tourism.
