A Study on the Use of Harbin 2009 Universiade Venues after the Competition
The 24th Winter Universiade (hereafter briefly referred to Universiade), organized in China for the first time, is comprehensive Winter Games with high world-level. The Universiade has strict requirements on the facilities of competition venues. Today many countries and cities bid for major sporting events. To a large extent they also regard the events as an important means and opportunity to strengthen and promote municipal construction, including local major sports venue construction and other public facilities construction. Meanwhile, the events leave the host city a precious heritage. However, the condition of the stadium operation after the competition will have a direct impact on urban economic development, so how to reflect the posteffect of big events is an issue concerned by every host country or city.
