Research on the Sport Star Idolatry of Adolescent

Idolatry is very popular to adolescent and has become a notable phenomenon in China in recent years. According to socialist, idolatry is a inevitable stage during the process of young people growth, which helps adolescent and young people to learn social roles and enhance the socialization process of youth. Researches show that movie star, singers and sports star account a large proportion of the idol of young people in China. In order to research the status of sports star idolatry and the influence which sports star idolatry has brought to youth, we drew up questionnaires and outlines for interviews and took the students of middle schools in both Beijing and Shanghai as subjects to carry out investigations.
