Pilot Study on Relations Between Time Perception and Attention Stability of Adolescent Single Figure Skating
This thesis looks at both Time Perception and Attention Stability in adolescent figure skaters. The pilot study uses two cognitive psychological perspectives to investigate the characteristics of the two psychological indices in order to analyze the differences between a Common group and an Excellent group, and to decide whether the two indices are correlated. Time Perception in this research is the judgment of time continuity, namely, perception of temporal duration. Temporal Duration is the length of time that every event is sustained for. Time Perception research needs simple stimulus and simple reaction, so a single stimulus method was used in the test for the pilot study. Attention Stability is defined as the period of time that attention is sustained during exercise and maintained at a certain level without obvious relaxation or distraction. Tracing by dominant hand for attention activities mainly focused on the circular facula, which performed? uniform circular motions.
